All business news this week. Apple has signed a deal with both Fox and Disney to offer movie rentals through iTunes. Finally some movie bigwigs are realising they can't stem the digital tide and are doing something about it in a serious way through a serious channel.

The box office throughout 2007 was up on the year before and the year before that, so comments fro around 2002-2004 that cinema was dying seem premature doom and gloom

I also read through the week that Warner Bros have backed Blu-ray. So now all the studios are behind the format with the exception of Paramount. But standing as they all are against the likes of Toshiba and Microsoft, I wouldn't bet the farm either way yet.
