The Australian video cover says that this movie 'out-pulps Pulp Fiction'. After watching it, you realise firstly that it doesn't, and secondly, exactly what the film makers were hoping to cash in on. Over two days it follows an assortment of very different characters and tries to highlight their quirks to comprise the plot, as Pulp Fiction did very successfully. Among them are a sadistic hit man with a gimmick ('you have one minute to decide the rest of your life'), two cops - one desperate to work homicide, the other with staunch anti-prostitution views, an hopeful Olympic athlete, a stressed out British executive and a crim on the run. Their lives careen off each other as the characters in Pulp Fiction's do, but without an iota of the same effect, interest or Tarantino cool.
