Bird on a Wire

Year: 1990
Cast: Mel Gibson, Goldie Hawn, David Carradine, Stephen Tobolowsky
This is the film that, more than any other, cemented Mel Gibson's arrival as a Hollywood leading man.

A dumb action movie plot in which he plays an FBI informer with a new identity suddenly plunged back into trouble when his old girlfriend (Hawn), whom he left to go underground, recognises him working at a service station and unwittingly puts the bad guys back on his trail again.

Hawn is still at her cute/cheeky/sexy stage (not like she is now still trying to foster that look - an old lady trying to look like a 20 year old hooker), and Gibson is in late 80's, Lethal Weapon -style full mullet mode.
