Out for a Kill

Year: 2003
Director: Michael Oblowitz
Cast: Steven Seagal
You've got to feel sorry for Steven Seagal. He used to fill a movie theatre, now he doesn't even reach one, relegated to the straight-to-video bargain bin of film history.

In his defence though, his movies have never had any pretensions above their station. As in all his other films, Out For a Kill depicts a simple man (who's completely unbeatable in a fight thanks to his knowledge of martial arts) on the wrong end of a Chinese drug syndicate.

The action karate-chops between the NYC's Chinatown, Bulgaria and Paris as he systematically mows down the bad guys, and the strong eastern feel gives it an edge over the usual straight to video action crap.
