A fish out of water comedy as Dolly Parton brings her down-home Texan pragmatism to the big bad snooty city. When she arrives to look for work, bringing her corn-fed Southern wisdom with her, she finds herself accidentally put on the air at the radio station where she's been employed as an office drone.
Her no-nonsense manner makes her a hit and when a reporter (Woods) comes sniffing around for the truth behind the phenomenon, he threatens to bust the bubble but finds himself falling in love with her.
Tailor made for Dolly's persona, so no stretch and while it's a completely predictable early 90s rom-com, it's hard not to like her effervescence.
