Turbulence

Year: 1997
Director: Robert Butler
Cast: Ray Liotta, Lauren Holly
A high concept idea (psychopath takes over a quiet Christmas season cross country flight) that could have been much better. The script called for some outrageous occurrences that were delivered admirably by an obviously adequate special effects budget, but neither Holly nor Liotta seem terribly comfortable in their roles and the whole thing is just done a bit too low key to live up to its promise. Liotta tries his best at a chilling psychopath and although he does bring talent to the role, for some reason none of it works.
