Part MTV clip, part historical thriller, this intriguing idea introduces us to the legendary detective as a young man, including his meeting with Dr Watson, his mentor and influences and his first big case.
Dressed up in Saturday matinee action and a poor cousin to Indiana Jones (owing to Spielberg's executive producer credit), it delivers a fast paced and interesting enough story with some cool young stars who never went anywhere.
