First, a correction. I mistakenly told you last time that the new Robert De Niro film Everybody's Fine is coming straight to DVD in Australia. It's actually due for a May release.

But if you still need evidence he's scraping the bottom of his creative barrel, Universal have just announced they're going ahead with a Midnight Run sequel, with De Niro reprising his role as a bounty hunter.

What makes me more curious than the question of why they'd bother following up such a lackluster film is where they're going to dig Charles Grodin up from? Last time I saw him he was Left Brain in the Disney World attraction Cranium Command, circa 1992.

But the plumbing of libraries continues, with a Lone Ranger project in the works and Johnny Depp attached as Tonto.

As I reported a very long time ago, a new Police Academy is now in the works at New Line and there'll soon be another Pet Sematary .
