A wooden performance from Derek and a try-hard performance from Moore characterise this comedy more famous for a single scene (Derek running down a beach, hair in braids) than for any content of the movie.
The uninteresting story - of a sexy babe who screws a short middle aged loser in return for saving her husband's life - was sold on the strength of Derek's iconic run and the presence of Ravel's Bolero and probably appealed more to 10 year old boys (like I was when I saw it) than any serious filmgoers.
