Amy’s Orgasm

Year: 2001
Production Co: Catchlight Films
Director: Julie Davis
Producer: Julie Davis
Writer: Julie Davis
Cast: Julie Davis

What looked like just another mundane battle of the sexes comedy actually turns out well performed, written and executed by the multi-talented star, director, writer, editor and producer Julie Davis.

While's she's not quite the 'female Woody Allen' that the New York Times claims, you can't help liking this feisty, lonely, horny, neurotic young Jewish girl. Amy writes a book convincing the world that women don't need men, but finds it a little hard practising what she preaches as she goes to Catholic confession because it's cheaper than therapy and falls in love with a misogynist radio shock jock. Sexy, more honest than most gender-analysis comedies, and good fun.
