Just when the world was starting to get sick of martin Lawrence's shtick came this slightly funny tale of an FBI agent (Lawrence) and his partner (a pre-cool Giamatti) who have to watch the ex wife of a dangerous con who they think will come after her.
Their only possible cover is to pose as her estranged mother, a convenient excuse to put Lawrence in a fat woman suit and plug it for every joke it's worth.
Ironically, Lawrence looks more comfortable while in the suit than when he has nothing to bounce off.
