Year: 2000
Director: Dien Perry
Cast: Adam Garcia, Sam Worthington, Sophie Lee, Susie Porter, Bruce Venables
Dien Perry's Tap Dogs was such a success in Australia a movie was nearly inevitable based on lives and loves of the guys who make up the troupe.

It introduced Adam Garcia to the world (although he's been very quiet since apart from a token man candy in teen chick movie Coyote Ugly) and raised Sam Worthington's profile a few notches as well.

Much like an older, Australian Billy Elliot, it follows the trials and tribulations of a group of guys who go against the Australian male grain of footy and beer and instead train to be tap dancers. Cute and entertaining, and full props to the dance choreographer for directing.
