Burglar

Year: 1987
Director: Hugh Wilson
Cast: Whoopi Goldberg, G W Bailey, Lesley Ann Warren, Bobcat Goldthwait, john Goodman
One of Whoopi Goldberg's early roles, a fairly lame comedy where she plays a criminal who steals things and justifies is by telling herself (and us) 'it's not what you steal, it's who you steal it from' (meaning if you steal it from someone nasty it's not really wrong.

I think it involved a murder mystery that she witnesses when she breaks into a house and gets tied up with the seemingly innocent woman (Lesley Anne Warren) at the centre of it. Bobcat Goldthwait tries to break out of his Police Academy mould by playing the same character he plays in the Police Academy movies.
