The Client

A young boy witnesses a mob lawyer man kill himself, and in the ensuing political melee, he asks a kindly lawyer (Sarandon) to protect him while an opportunistic state lawyer (Jones) tries to use the boy for his own ends - to take down the local mob.

It's intelligent and well acted and Grisham's strong storyline is intact but there's nothing really to sell it on the big screen.
