Detroit Rock City
Funny enough road comedy about four loser teenagers in the late 1970s desperate to get to a Detroit KISS concert.
Some stumbles, some laughs, some stuff doesn't quite feel right as they win and lose tickets, try to circumnavigate the staunch Christian mother of one and make it to the city alive, where they have to beg, borrow and steal to come up with a ticket to the show.
It splits into four stories as each guy gets deeper into hot water to scalp a ticket, but everything ends up predictably. There's not much to say about it - it looked a bit cultish but turned out very mainstream. A very bizarre link, but the gorgeous girl one of the boys fall in love with turns out to be Pauline from Heavenly Creatures.
