Released so close to Batman Keaton must have worked on them both at once, and owing to his avoiding typecasting in this return to comedy. Four incarcerated mental asylum patients with - to the credit of the story for making the characters distinctive - very different mental conditions are taken by their minder to a baseball game in New York.

They get separated and the film follows the various fish-out-of-water hijinks their individual quirks get them in trouble with. Slightly satiric in suggesting they're right at home in the biggest asylum in America - New York City, and strong performances from the four leads stop a hackneyed story from sinking like a lead balloon.
