Another tired Top Gun rip off from the era that spawned a million of them. Tired-looking, lazy-eyed Nicolas Cage doesn't suit the role of a cocky fighter pilot, and Sean Young is as unlikely a candidate to be one, but a decent story might almost convince you otherwise.
Unfortunately it's another rent-it-and-forget-it carbon copy of the other 'military is cool' movies of the late eighties with a throwaway plot, and the sort of thing the Nic Cage of today wouldn't be seen dead in.
