The best example of how a movie can seem to be about a certain subject and the real subject matter come so far out of left field. Almost as if it started out as a well thought out post-heist road movie with two deplorable psychos and an innocent family held hostage and then halfway through, they threw out the script and just decided to have a free for all vampire bloodfest (and have fun making it). For some reason though, it works. Cheap, bloody, and great full all the way through. Tarantino's appalling acting is almost a cool fixture to have in one of your underground movies.
