A bit too late cash-in on the success of the first film, nowhere near as good, original or groundbreaking. Doesn't even really work as more of the same. Certain characters like Lewis and Janine have mutated to ridiculous, cartoonish proportions, a whole history exists between Venkman and Dana where there needn't have been one, and Dana's boss Yanosh is just irritating - you're almost glad when he's a bad guy. Vigo the Carpathian isn't quite Gozer and a museum covered in impenetrable ectoplasm will never rival the roof of Dana's apartment building (at the time the largest, most expensively lit set in film history thanks to the vision of Lazslo Kovacs).

Certainly funny and entertaining and all concerned seemed to enjoy themselves, but had far too much to live up to. Essentially the same story over again, designed to deliver more of the same stuff. Hudson as Winston Zeddemore was almost unrecognisable with huge hair.
