Gunfight at the OK Corral

Year: 1957
Studio: Paramount
Director: John Sturges
Cast: Burt Lancaster, Kirk Douglas, Dennis Hopper, DeForest Kelley
Something of a movie in search of a climax, from what I remember. You watch it (or at least I did on more than a few Friday nights on TV) for the titular shoot-out, and wait while the entire movie sets it up.

That's not to say it's boring; it's adequate big screen western fare, with the canny trick of constantly building to a conclusion you know you want to see.

I also had no idea before looking it up it was (yet another) take on the Wyatt Earp legend, which shows how much I remember.
