Harley Davidson and the Malboro Man

Year: 1991
Director: Simon Wincer
Cast: Mickey Rourke, Don Johnson, Daniel Baldwin, Vanessa Williams, Tom Sizemore
It's been called a title in search of a movie, and by all accounts it looked like it was going to be the worst B grade tripe, but it actually some of the 'cool' it was after in some way. Two drifters (Rourke and Johnson) and living personas of the two pop culture icons, pull off a bank robbery which uncovers high level corruption and drug running. The story is zippy and surprisingly has enough substance to sustain the film, Rourke and Johnson have enough charisma to keep their characters from turning into figures of ridicule, and all in all it's a fairly good time to be had.
