God almighty, what a dog of an idea (see what I did there?)

Apparently so desperate for ideas were the producers of this second rate werewolf franchise that they decided to film it ultra-cheap. That led them to Australia, which led them to the idea of having a species of marsupial lycanthrope, which led to a cheap action horror film trying to break the bounds of the Australian cultural cringe, complete with Frank Thring filming a movie next to Hyde Park's Archibald Fountain.

A young girl who for some reason becomes one of these marsupial werewolves is the focus of the story, and that's all I remember. Might be time for another viewing in light of the current cult/grindhouse craze...
