Hudson Hawk

Year: 1991
Director: Michael Lehmann
Cast: Bruce Willis, Danny Aiello, Andie McDowell, Richard E Grant, Sandra Bernhard, James Coburn, David Caruso
One of those movies you have to see because of the legend surrounding it - of how shocking it was, how it nearly destroyed Bruce Willis' career and nearly bankrupted the studio.

Without the mythology though, it's a remarkably uninteresting movie that would otherwise have been swallowed and forgotten by history.

Bruce Willis is a burglar who's just come out of the joint before his partner (Aiello) ropes him into one more heist - something to do with artworks in the Vatican.

Andie MacDowell is a token love interest, Grant and Bernhard the smarmy couple behind the scam, and apart from sharing the embarrassing spotlight with the likes of Ishtar and Bonfire of the Vanities, it has nothing of note to offer.
