Atrociously boring, hard to follow and pointless, disappearing up its own arse in a desperate attempt at cool.

I missed it at the movies and wouldn't have bothered except for a friend who said how great it was, so I gave it a go.

After forty minutes I had no clue who anyone was, what their motivations in the story were, or what was going on. It seemed the story of a highly dysfunctional society family and the teen runaway (Culkin) who provides the heart and soul of the story.

Borrowing a very liberal dose from Catcher in the Rye, the acting was good, but by the time I reached the end I still had no idea what I'd just sat through or what it was supposed to have been telling me.
