With no such strictures on expanding the drama or upping the ante on set pieces, action or villains or the moral dilemma of the hero, Johnny, Bam and the rest of the guys are free to put fish hooks through cheeks, get bitten by anacondas, spew, roller skate into each other, battle bulls in the bullring and generally hurt each other and themselves for our amusement.
