Jackie Chan’s First Strike

Year: 1996
Director: Stanley Tong
Cast: Jackie Chan
Part of the new incantation of Chan as he revitalises the self-named genre that made him famous so many years ago for a new audience. Farcical plot as he gets caught up in a Bond-ish CIA/Russian Mafia caper - in Brisbane! Nothing really but a hammered together plot as excuse for his iconic and creative fight scenes. Atrocious dubbing and as always, the outtakes at the end are as entertaining as the movie. There are both better and worse ways to waste 90 minutes.
