Keeping the Faith

Year: 2000
Production Co: Spyglass Entertainment
Director: Edward Norton
Producer: Edward Norton/Stuart Blumberg
Writer: Stuart Blumberg
Cast: Edward Norton , Ben Stiller, Jenna Elfman, Anne Bancroft, Eli Wallach, Ron Rifkin, Milos Foreman
Only Ed Norton himself will ever truly know why he's one of the best actors of his generation and he chose a lame romantic comedy as his directorial debut - dyeing his hair blond, no less. Experience behind the camera, no matter what it was? So why hasn't he directed anything since?

The cast is great with Norton as priest Brian, his best friend Ben Stiller as Rabbi Jake and the beautiful girl they both fall in love with (Elfman) and the struggles of faith and loyalty they face as a result. But a romantic comedy with Edward Norton? That's like Robert De Niro in a stupid CGI Rocky & Bullwinkle or Orson Welles doing a voice in the Transformers cartoon. Hang on...

It could be a bland studio effort with Kate Bosworth, Chris Evans and Matthew McConaghuey.
