Legends of the Fall

Year: 1994
Production Co: Bedford Falls Productions
Director: Edward Zwick
Producer: Edward Zwick
Cast: Brad Pitt, Anthony Hopkins, Aidan Quinn, Julia Ormond, Henry Thomas
One can pinpoint the exact moment when Brad Pitt turned into the Hollywood hunk he is today, despite actually being one of our most gifted actors.

He turns around in a field of flowers, long hair in the breeze, butterflies and insects buzzing happily around, flashing his winning grin and resplendent in his suit.

He was the focal point for this sprawling family epic where three brothers (Pitt, Thomas and Quinn) grow up under the loving guidance of an ageing father (Hopkins) in a beautiful farmhouse in the mountains at the turn of the 19th century.

The story isn't terribly thematic apart from chronicling their lives, loves, the tragedies of chance and everything between the loss of innocence and death, but in true soap opera style, you care about these people simply from the wealth of information you learn about them.
