Love and a .45

Year: 1994
Production Co: Trimark Pictures
Director: C M Talkington
Cast: Renee Zellweger, Gil Bellows
A familiar-flavoured little indie action comedy, with lovers on the lam (then-unknown Zellweger and still-unknown Bellows) after a convenience store robbery goes wrong and his psycho partner kills someone.

The heroes want nothing to do with killing - they're good guy criminals - so they intend to high tail it to Mexico after marrying along the way, but only if they can survive the psycho, various other crims and the cops on their tail.

Smirking dialogue, dusty locales strewn with rusty gas stations and flyspeck towns with corner store convenience stores, violence - it's all been done before.
