How old is this movie - I remember being really excited seeing the music video for the title track Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now by Starship because it had G W Bailey and a bunch of cops running around a shopping centre crashing into each other, making me think it was a new Police Academy Movie!
But no, just a bland rom-com firmly grounded in the 1980s in everything from the fashions to the music. A hard luck artist (McCarthy) falls in love with a shop window mannequin, with no creepiness whatsoever. The mannequin however turns out to be the earthly realm of the spirit of an Egyptian princess in the form of Kim Cattrall, and the two have to put up with jealous lovers, professional rivals and more to be together for true lurve to blossom.
All together now, 'And when this world ruins out of lovers, we'll still have each other...'
