Mighty Aphrodite

Year: 1995
Production Co: Magnolia Pictures
Director: Woody Allen
Writer: Woody Allen
Cast: Woody Allen, Mira Sorvino, Helena Bonham Carter, F Murray Abraham, Olympia Dukakis, David Ogden Stiers, Peter Weller
It was about this time Woody Allen started to go the tiniest bit off the rails, audiences laughing softly while looking at each other sideways in a little embarrassment.

Perhaps it was his obsession with young, beautiful women when he was at an age that made it start to seem creepy, but this film didn't reach anywhere near the heights of Annie Hall or Husbands and Wives.

Discovering his adopted son is a genius, a New York writer (naturally) sets out to find the mother, and is shocked to discover a ridiculously-voiced porn actress and hooker who calls herself Judy Cum (Sorvino) whom he implausibly starts to fall for.

A usual cast of suspects in Ogden Stiers and Rapaport join him and his muse, but I don't remember anything really outstanding.
