A drab, uninteresting horror movie showing why Guillermo Del Toro is better off with his own money and sentiment than he is doing Hollywood hack jobs.
Mira Sorvino is totally hatstand as a scientist/heroine who releases a genetically modified insect into the New York subway system to kill a dangerous form of cockroach.
A few years later her creature has become a Frankenstein, growing in size and ferocity and starting to hunt humans.
After a generation of mutant animal attack movies, it needed much more to stand out. It was so uninteresting I don't even remember if I finished it.
