It's a cheap Jaws rip-off the same way we've had a hundred Star Wars rip-offs, Dawn of the Dead rip-offs and Porky's rip-offs over the course of the last three decades.

That sounds harsh, and maybe unnecessarily so. I saw it at the movies and being six at the time I hardly remember it apart from the guy sliding down the ice sheet as the killer whale tips it up to get at him.

But knowing what I do about Hollywood, a story about a killer whale seeking revenge on the ships' captain (Harris) who killed its mate could only be a pretty ham-fisted affair. Maybe its time to revisit, if only to see Bo Derek get her leg bitten off.
