Same crap, different year. If Steve Martin had fanboys to the extent Star Trek and Quentin Tarantino had after his early career thanks to films like The Jerk and The Man With Two Brains, they'd be opening up their wrists nowadays as he bides his time between stupid comedy like this and stupid family comedy like Cheaper By the Dozen.

A thief is one the loose stealing tresures from around the world, and Clouseau is put in charge of a team of crack international investigators to find him before he can snatch the Pink Panther again.

Beyonce Knowles and Kevin Kilne either weren't asked back or had the brains to turn down this slapstick rubbish. Was the whole idea of The Pink Panther and a bumbling French Inspector a bad idea, or did Sellers and Edwards give it an edge Martin and hack director Zwart never could?

Either way, go back to projects like Novocaine and Shopgirl, Steve, your credibility desperately needs it.
