Squeezing the last drop of blood from the stone of the early 80's Airplane in the police car (and not the last squeeze), all the familiar elements are there, just old and tired. So formulaic they had to virtually replace Steve Guttenberg's Mahoney with McCoy, who plays almost exactly the same lead part (following Guttenberg's exit from the series to pursue a bigger film career that's ultimately gone nowhere).
