I remember liking the TV series a lot more, and I barely remember the climax and resolution to the film, it just seemed a funny idea to see then-babe Goldie Hawn as a spoiled society girl joining the macho army.
After her husband drops dead on their wedding night, Judy (Hawn) joins up in a fit of despair. From there its strict fish out of water territory as she battles wills with her brutal superior Captain Lewis and gradually comes around to love her new friends and realise how vacuous her former life was. When it's over is when you'll realise it's just a female Stripes, and not as good.
