Burt's star had well and truly gone out in this woeful, by-numbers action thriller just made to go straight to video. He'd lost the appeal that made him the macho man of the 70's and was aging too far and appearing in too much B grade trash of this type, and if it hadn't been for Paul Thomas Anderson's Boogie Nights bringing him some indie/kitsch credibility, he'd just be another Charles Bronson - a washed up action hero in his geriatric years.
