Terminal Velocity

Year: 1994
Director: Deran Sarafian
Cast: Charlie Sheen, Natassja Kinski
A fairly by-numbers action film from the high-octane school of fast cars and ridiculous stunts (a la Die Hard and James Bond) and works just fine as one. An everyday working class skydiving instructor (Sheen) takes on a mysterious and beautiful student (Kinski) who falls to her death. From the time she walks into his office alive a few days later he is plunged into an atypical 'web of intrigue' that isn't memorable enough to make an impact but enough to set up some inspired action sequences. A pretty rollicking good time throughout, especially the completely over the top, seat-edge climax as the hero has to rescue the damsel from the locked boot of a car - in mid fall from a plane.
