Weird film with no real identity set in a small New England town where three women (Cher, Sarandon & Pfeiffer) with mystical powers conjure up who we're led to believe is Satan (Nicholson). He ingratiates himself into their lives, getting them drunk on their feminine and demonic power, showing them the odd unimaginable horror while terrorising and killing the townsfolk who see him for what he is. No real point or plot (if there was it's too hidden behind the garish visualisations), a climax that doesn't really make sense, and a sense of not knowing what it wants to be, comedy one minute, horror the next, never just a horror comedy.
